Artist Statement

Notions of being, moments of being; exploring more literally my curiosity for fabric, print, design.

Weaving paper, paper sculptures.

Making videos of my paintings and working with a composer so that sound and image are synchronized.

Working with “photo shopping” apps to move composition and reshape interruption and/to sensation from the paintings; translating into prints and on to cloth.

Images have a “function” other than the connection made by looking, sensing and seeing.

Very physical work that kept me alert in collective spaces and at home.

A workshop in the heart of Uganda at the source of the Nile. The light in central Africa shifts my way of layering and finding colour.
