Drawing/painting weekend in Vermaklikheid

Drawing/painting weekend in Vermaklikheid

January 2020/ 24, 25 and 26

Jill Trappler and Ruth Loewenthal invite you attend a weekend drawing/painting/mixed media/collage workshop in Vermaklikheid.

Jill and Ruth have worked together as teacher and “artists model” for many years. This weekend offers artists the opportunity to spend dedicated time working with an experienced model and immersing oneself in the process of image making. The landscapes surrounding this peaceful retreat will add to engaging with the visual world and translating what is seen and remembered onto paper or canvas. The intention is to work without distraction, address habits that inhibit our seeing and finding creative ways of making images. Beginners and experienced artist will benefit from the relaxed but focused sessions. The evening sessions may be spent in discussion of the days work. On Sunday evening Hannah Loewenthal will do a performance piece as a final opportunity to engage, as artists, with “form in space.”

The course fee includes tuition and model, studio rent and the Sunday evening performance.

R8000.00 for the weekend will be divided by the number of participants. (e.g.; if there are ten participants each person will pay R800)

Up to ten participants can be accommodated. Booking and a deposit of R250 will confirm your attendance.  Contact Jill Trappler by 30th October 2019 to confirm participation. (jill@jilltrappler.co.za)
