Artist Statement

Embroidery and applique, have a similar pace to spinning and plaiting and weaving. I work quite obsessively in these media allowing the different materials to find their way without inhibition or challenge. This work is different from mixed media collage which are worked on a stable surface and remain two dimensional on geometric shapes.
