Cutting Lino in workshops with master printers who could reverse the image in their heads while cutting wood or lino or cardboard, showed me the wonder of the eye /brain/hand connection. Smoothing the paper onto the ink with a spoon and enjoying the varied surface, (making mistakes) which allowed for over painting. I enjoyed the print making studio at the Johannesburg art foundation with wonderful skilled creative mentors. Working one on one with silkscreen, etching and mono printing challenges my sense of colour as the inks, acrylic or oil are so different from paint. There is always a cross over between the various media. I like to work collaboratively when making prints.
